POETRY

Turkey

Rocked to sleep under the stars,

the sea gently clasps me,

warm air like silk on skin.

for a drink of summer blood.

Turtles weave beneath the film

drawn between water and air;

we watch the jellyfish dissolve

into the ocean’s arms.
