POETRY

Airborne

squeezed together

my torso pressed against your spine

binding

skin-shedding

coiled into one.

tight grip

you cannot slip

from my fingertips.

winding around your neck

I breathe hot air into your mouth

strands connecting

eyes flicker, connecting

the fading light

dying.

raspy breath

reborn

you are mine.

                                                          I am yours.
