Snow Globe

We all stick to our bubble

and when we leave it’s a

shaken snow globe

Someone steps through their front door

blowing bubbles and shaking with fear

Shaking like a shaken hand

A hand shaking a champagne bottle

that fills with bubbles

Shaking as though intoxicated

The bubble finally pops

Champagne glasses smash; a snow globe loses its dome

as snow floats through the air: white bubbles
